Europe's policy landscape is unleashing new opportunities for the recycled plastics sector!

According to the EU's revised End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) Directive, by 2031, plastic components in new vehicles must contain 20% recycled plastics, with 15% specifically sourced from ELVs. This regulation will force automakers to increase usage of high-performance recycled resins like recycled ABS and recycled PMMA, thereby opening new growth avenues for relevant supply chain partners. American materials firm Trinseo has confirmed this will accelerate its strategic deployment in Europe's recycled plastics market.

Notably, Trinseo's pilot projects for recycled-content products (involving ABS, acrylic, and polycarbonate) have been fully subscribed by customers, demonstrating robust market demand. The company has achieved a 12% year-over-year sales increase in recycled-content products to date, establishing them as a core growth driver for its engineering materials segment.

Interestingly, despite current sluggish domestic demand, our leading domestic and overseas clients are aggressively expanding their production capacity. For instance, TCL's Phase II plant in Tianjin commenced operations this year, and Hebei Chengfa Group acquired 100% equity in GEM's Henan subsidiary. Significantly, both industry leaders have placed orders for our large-scale electrostatic separation production lines!
